Happy spring!

The start of this season always brings me creativity and determination. Hence, I have a lot of news today!

First of all, me and 3 other Honour students are going to Ottawa in a week! We'll be visiting the Canadian War Museum, as well as the outside of the Parliament (we tried to reserve a visitation, but they are currently closed because of COVID-19). It is disappointing that we couldn't visit this city with the program, or New York while we're at it, but I'm happy to still be able to live through a part of what we were supposed to do during our stay.

The midterms are almost done! I only have my law midterm left, which I have already done half of (it is an asynchronous exam). I did the PoliSci midterms two weeks ago (87% & 100%) and Economics last week (tbd). I do not have a midterm to do in Quantitative Methods.

During March break, a week before our first midterms, I did a 32h training to called "Diplôme d'Aptitudes aux Fonctions d'Animateur" (Diploma of aptitudes for the functions of camp counsellor). In this training, we talked a lot about Recreology, which is the study of active living and leisure pursuit. Recreology is also a social sciences, as listed by Sainte-Anne's website, on their page about the Individu, Droit & Societé DEC program. Therefore, I will try to make it count for the Honours program.

While discussing about our news or projects during the last Honours Social Sciences meeting, I proposed the Bourstad challenge - a stock market simulator - as an interesting project, relating for once more to the Admin profile in Social Sciences. Our wonderful teacher, M. Mitrasca, asked the school about it, and now we are a month into the project! M. Dubé is our supervisor, as he seems to know a lot about stock market tools and tips. It has been a very interesting learning initiative, and I have seen an improvement in my knowledge about the stock market since my attempt at this challenge last year. (See page "Other Projects).

Finally, while helping Julien Lausson create his own Honours portfolio, I realized I could post my Research papers here, and that I have done much more Honours-related projects than most other student (not that it's a competition ;P). Anyways, I'm glad to have created this website early on, and will continue adding on to it for the remaining of my sessions at Collégial Sainte-Anne.
