FIRST MEETING

This meeting consisted of describing the reasons behind the creation of the SFC committee; presenting the meaning of Intersectionality and the 2021-2022 calendar, inspired by the official Canadian Calendar of Special Events; and 'brainstorming' for future activities/fundraisers.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH POSTERS

Figures of Black History and Black-Owned Businesses in Montreal

To celebrate historical and local Black voices, the SFC committee created 40 posters (30 historical figures/aspects and 10 businesses) sharing the importance of such recognition, all having a easily-scan-able QR codes to learn more about the subject.

CISA MOVIE NIGHT

November 8th, 2021 - "The Hate U Give"

A "Movie Night" was hosted at the school to educate its students on the truths of systemic racism and police brutality. A meeting then took place on November 10th to freely discuss the movie and the subjects it brought up.
